Mac can’t lose another friend. Even if he doesn’t want to be found.
The ripple effect caused by Mac’s best friend Amy’s murder has driven Mac’s new love, Kyle, to leave Hemlock and disappear from her life forever. But Mac knows that Kyle plans to enroll in a rehabilitation camp, where he can live with other werewolves. She refuses to accept his decision, especially since the camps are rumored to be tortuous. So she sets out in search of Kyle with a barely sober Jason—and Amy’s all-seeing ghost—in tow.
Clues lead Mac to find Kyle in a werewolf den in Colorado—but their reunion is cut short by a Tracker raid. Now Mac and Kyle are trapped inside the electric fences of Thornhill, a camp for young werewolves. As she devises an escape plan, Mac uncovers dangerous secrets buried within the walls of Thornhill—and realizes that the risk to the people she loves is greater than ever before.
Oooooh, I am very, very excited for this one. Witches are werewolves are two of my favorite things to read about in YA, and, unfortunately, they seem to be the two paranormal creatures YA seems to be lacking, so I jumped on the opportunity to read Hemlock last year. And it still stands as one of my favorite werewolf novels, with an original twist. So obviously I'm looking forward to reading Thornhill like crazy.
Do you have any awesome YA werewolf novels you'd recommend?
Why isn't the first book in this series on my to-read list yet?! I just saw your review, and I'm adding it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read many werewolf books yet, so I hope this one's good!

I still haven't read the first book! I have a copy though, so I hope I can get around to it soon. I've heard a lot of great things about Kathleen Peacock's writing. I hope the sequel is just as enjoyable for you. Lovely pick, Blythe! :)
ReplyDeleteI still need to read the first one, but both of these sound really really good!

ReplyDeleteI thought Hemlock was a pretty cool werewolf novel so I'm looking forward to the sequel but uneasily because I'm wondering about the love story.
